Jan 07: Retirement Party “Buffet”

Barefoot Pino GrigioToday’s dinner was supplied by the retirement party of an extended family member. And the retiree deserved much better. So did the attendees.

Location? Local bowling alley. Food? Awful chicken “skewers”, among other things. Good cupcakes from a local baker. Libations? Somewhat decent Barefoot Cellars Pino Grigio. In small bottles.

Thank God it wasn’t Sutter Home — the only small bottled wine that the entire state of North Dakota knows…apparently.

I left with a couple of yardsticks and frisbees. Retirement must suck. But, hey, dinner was “free”.
