They look like they’re trying to escape. The pickles are crawling from the scene of kohlrabi, pork roast, and potatoes that I cooked in the pork renderings.

A basil and mint pesto on the chicken thighs, which I roasted in the same pan with turnips, fennel, onions, garlic scapes, and summer squashes. Over brown rice, with a side of steamed sugar snap and snow peas.
They call it a Homewrecker, but as long as you’re both eating burritos and drinking beer, no one can complain.

Home alone tonight. I made a big salad with lettuce and zucchini, boiled pasta shells, and warmed up yesterday’s sauce.
Ribeye, mushroom sauce, potatoes au gratin, and chard. All more delicious than I regularly make at home, and in the fine company of Kevin and Dave.
